Broad beans with ketchup and garlic marinade

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar beans, white, thick (large jar)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 150 ml ketchup
  • 50 ml oil
  • Salt
  • 1 pinch(s) marjoram, dried, shredded
  • ½ tsp, sautéed oregano, dried, shredded
  • ½ tsp mustard

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Pour the beans into a sieve, rinse with water, and let drain. Using a whisk, blend the ketchup, oil, and half a teaspoon of mustard, just like you would for a barbecue marinade. Peel and finely dice the garlic. Add it to the marinade and season generously with salt. Add about half a level teaspoon of oregano, a pinch of marjoram, and the beans. Season the mixture again briefly, adding more salt or ketchup if desired, and let it sit, covered, at room temperature for at least two hours. Refrigerate overnight for best results. Bring to room temperature before serving. Goes well with grilled dishes, roasted meat, or simply as a snack.
