Broad beans with tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g beans, thick, (shelled)
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 150 g onion(s), cut into rings
  • 50 g butter
  • 4 tomatoes
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sauté the garlic and onions in butter. Puree the tomatoes. Add the beans to a deep pan and cover with the tomatoes and liquid. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 30 minutes, ensuring there’s always enough liquid. Season with salt and pepper. It can be eaten on its own or with a piece of grilled meat.
