Broccoli à la Mama with tomato-caper dressing

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g broccoli
  • 125 ml sour cream or yogurt
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp capers, chopped
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • possibly olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 23 minutes

super simple and delicious, as a side dish or salad

Cut the broccoli into florets, trim off any woody parts of the stem, and slice the stem. Cook the broccoli in salted water until al dente. Mix the remaining ingredients to make a sauce. I usually use yogurt instead of sour cream and add a little olive oil. When the broccoli is done, drain it in a colander, transfer it to a bowl, and pour the sauce over it. The broccoli is delicious as a vegetable side dish or, once cooled, as a salad.
