Broccoli and potato mash with wasabi and sesame

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g potatoes, floury
  • 300 g broccoli
  • 100 ml milk, possibly more
  • 20 g butter
  • salt and pepper
  • some wasabi paste, amount according to taste
  • 1 tbsp, heaped sesame seeds, hulled, dry roasted

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash, peel, and roughly dice the potatoes, and boil in salted water for 10 minutes. Wash the broccoli, divide it into florets, slice the stem, and add it to the potatoes. Cook for another 10 minutes. Drain and let it steam off a little. Set aside a few broccoli florets for garnish. Mash the broccoli and potato mixture with a potato masher. Heat the milk with butter, gradually stirring in. Add sesame seeds, reserving some for sprinkling. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and wasabi. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with broccoli florets and serve.
