Broccoli appetizer

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 broccoli
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 lemons
  • ½ tsp pepper, coarsely ground
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp oil (olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Divide the broccoli into florets, peel the stems, and quarter them. Cook in salted water with two lemon slices (for color) until al dente. Transfer to a shallow bowl with a slotted spoon. While still warm, drizzle evenly with the marinade made from 1 1/2 lemon juice, pepper, salt, crushed garlic, and oil. Let it marinate for about 1 hour. Serve with crusty white bread.
