Broccoli pasta casserole with ham

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pasta of your choice
  • 250 g broccoli, frozen or fresh
  • 200 g ham
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 shot of milk
  • 100 ml cream
  • 500 ml water
  • 150 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Dice the ham and onion and fry in a large pan. Deglaze with a generous splash of milk and simmer briefly. Add the water and cream to the pan. Season well with salt, then add the pasta and broccoli. Simmer for about 10-13 minutes, stirring in the sour cream. If the pasta is cooked and there’s too much liquid left, simply drain it. If it’s too dry, simply add more milk. Season to taste with pepper, nutmeg, and more salt if desired. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes at 200°C (top/bottom heat).
