Broccoli salad

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 large broccoli
  • 1 small vegetable onion(s)
  • 6 m.-large gherkins
  • 1 gr. can/n corn kernels, approx. 140 g
  • some salt and pepper
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 3 tbsp pickle juice from the pickles
  • 3 packs of ready-made salad dressing mix (dill herbs)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, crème fraîche, pickle juice, and the prepared dressing mix. Wash the broccoli, divide it into florets, and cut into very small florets. The stalks can be easily frozen and used for other purposes. Finely dice the onion and pickles and add them to the large bowl with the dressing along with the broccoli. Drain the corn and add it as well. Mix everything well and season with salt and pepper. Let it stand for a while. Tip: Finely chopped, roasted chicken breast or grated cheese also go well with the salad.
