  • 150 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 15 g baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 25 g chocolate sprinkles
  • 1 bar of chocolate for garnishing

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) and line a 20 x 20 cm baking pan with baking paper. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heatproof container over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave. Let the mixture cool. Whisk the eggs and sugar in a separate bowl until creamy. Stir the melted chocolate-butter mixture into the egg-sugar mixture. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and chocolate sprinkles into the bowl and mix well until a smooth batter forms. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it down. Break the chocolate bar into pieces and press it into the batter. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for approx. 25-30 minutes. The exact baking time may vary depending on the oven. Let the brownies cool in the pan and then cut into pieces.
