Brownies with caramelized hazelnuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g dark chocolate coating
  • 100 g raw cane sugar
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 80 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g hazelnuts, whole, with skin
  • 35 g raw cane sugar
  • Fat for the mold
  • 20 g hazelnuts, ground, for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Roughly chop the chocolate coating and melt it over a pan of warm water. Preheat the oven to 170°C (fan oven). Grease a square ovenproof dish (24 x 24 cm) and sprinkle with the hazelnuts. Mix together the butter, sugar, and eggs. Stir in the melted chocolate coating and the ground hazelnuts. Roast the whole hazelnuts in a dry pan. Sprinkle the sugar over the chocolate coating and caramelize the nuts. Fold the caramelized hazelnuts into the batter. Pour the mixture into the dish and smooth it down. Bake the brownies in the oven for about 25 minutes. The brownies should still be moist on the inside. Place the brownies on a wire rack and let them cool, then cut into pieces and serve.
