Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 beefsteak tomato(s)
  • some basil leaves
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 8 slice(s) baguette(s), cut crosswise
  • 4 tbsp oil (olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 250°C. Wash the tomatoes (peel if necessary) and cut into small cubes. Wash the basil, pat dry, and slice into strips. Peel the garlic and press it through a press. Mix everything together and season with salt and pepper. Spread the mixture on the slices of bread, drizzle with oil, and toast for about 15 minutes. Serve immediately. Alternatively, you can also arrange mozzarella slices over the tomatoes.
