Bruschetta from the pan

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 300 g mushrooms
  • 100 g bacon
  • ½ ball of mozzarella
  • 1 ciabatta
  • some olive oil
  • some salt and pepper
  • some herbs
  • 1 handful of basil for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Ideal as a starter for 3 – 4 people!

Cut the mushrooms, tomatoes, and mozzarella into small pieces. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the bacon until slightly crispy. Add the mushrooms and fry until they have significantly reduced in size. Then add the tomatoes and fry. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs, Italian herb mix or fresh herbs. Add the mozzarella and wait until it has melted. Meanwhile, slice the ciabatta and place them briefly on both sides in the toaster and toast them slightly, or in a pan with a little olive oil. Spoon a portion from the pan onto each ciabatta slice and garnish with basil.
