Brussels sprout and bacon skewers

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts, cleaned
  • e.g. vegetable broth
  • 1 pkt. Bacon, cut into thin slices
  • 40 g herb butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the Brussels sprouts in vegetable broth until tender and drain well. Then, starting with the bacon, thread the bacon and Brussels sprouts onto skewers, alternating in a snake-like pattern. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the skewers until the sprouts have a crust and the bacon is crispy. Be careful, they burn very quickly! Delicious as an appetizer, side dish, or with a sauce over rice.
