Brussels Sprouts Salad with Kumquat
The perfect brussels sprouts salad with kumquat recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 300 g Brussels sprouts fresh
- 10 g Kumquat fresh
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 2 Pc. Clementines fresh
- 6 Pc. Walnuts
- 1 Pr Pepper
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- Clean the Brussels sprouts and cook them in salted water until firm …… drain and chop them up …..
- Cut the kumquat into slices and caramelize in the pan with the sugar …. and deglaze with the juice of the clementines and let it boil down a little … and add to the Brussels sprouts …..
- Crack the walnuts and add them to the salad, chopped up … if you want, you can roast them a little beforehand (without oil in the pan) …. the taste is a bit more intense ….
- Mix in the balsamic vinegar and season to taste with pepper and sugar.
- Let it steep for at least 4 hours, well-chilled ……
