Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 1 tbsp, heaped sugar
- 300 ml water, lukewarm
- 500 g flour and some flour for dusting
- 1 tsp, leveled salt
- 2 tbsp oil, neutral in taste
- Oil for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Combine flour, salt, and oil in a mixing bowl. Mix the dried yeast with the sugar in lukewarm water. Add the water to the mixing bowl and knead all ingredients for at least 10 minutes. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Rub a round baking tray (30 cm diameter) with oil, scoop out 20 g of dough each, form balls, and place them together on the baking tray. Cover and let rise for another 15 minutes, then brush the balls with water and dust with flour. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Tip: This recipe can also be made sweet. Add an additional 100 g of sugar. It’s also delicious with sun-dried tomatoes in the dough.
