Bulgur
The perfect bulgur recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Bulgur fine
- 300 ml Mazola oil
- 200 ml Lukewarm water
- 1 bunch Mint fresh
- 1 bunch Finely chopped parsley
- 1 piece Lemon
- 2 tbsp Pomegranate syrup
- 2 piece Clove of garlic
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 bunch Spring onions fresh
- 2 tbsp Paprika pulp
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 pinch Salt, pepper and chilli
- Mix the bulgur with the lukewarm water and let it rest for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the mint, parsley, leek, garlic and onion very finely. (I use the multi-chopper). Squeeze the juice of one lemon.
- Now add all the remaining ingredients to the bulgur and knead with your hands (this is how the Turkish housewives do it). At the end, refine with the lemon juice, pomegranate juice and the spices and season to taste. Meatballs go well with it.
