Bull Eyes
The perfect bull eyes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 330 g Soft butter
- 210 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 5 Egg yolk
- 0,25 tsp Salt
- 540 g Flour, or as needed
- 2 Egg white whisked with a few drops of water
- Chopped almonds to roll
- Red jam to taste
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (convection 160 degrees) and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- Mix the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until frothy. Now gradually stir in the egg yolks.
- Now work in flour by hand until the dough is nice and soft and no longer sticks.
- Shape the dough into small balls, dip in the egg white and then roll them in the chopped almonds. Place on the tray and make a depression with your finger.
- Now heat the jam and distribute it in the indentations, but not too full, because then it could run.
- Now bake in the oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
