Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat
  • ½ onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 250 ml yogurt, 10%
  • 125 ml mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 dashes herbal vinegar
  • 2 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 burger buns (sesame buns)
  • 1 iceberg lettuce
  • n. B. Pickled gherkin(s)
  • e.g. tomato(s)
  • fried onions
  • 200 g cheese, grated, e.g. Gouda

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Finely chop the onions and sauté until translucent. Then add the minced meat and fry until hot. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. The minced meat can be a little more spicy. For the burger sauce, finely chop the onions and garlic and mix with the yogurt, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and herb vinegar. Season to taste with paprika, salt and pepper. Cut the sesame buns horizontally and set 4 lids aside. Cut the remaining buns into small cubes. Wash the iceberg lettuce in cold water and tear into bite-sized pieces. Cut the gherkins and tomatoes into small slices/pieces. Lightly toast the 4 bun lids in a pan and then cut into 2 cm wide strips. Layer the salad in a large bowl with half of the ingredients each: 1. Bread cubes 2. Iceberg lettuce 3. Sauce 4. Gherkins 5. Minced meat 6. Tomatoes 7. Fried onions Layer the remaining ingredients in the same order. Finally, spread the grated cheese on top and cover with the toasted bun lids.
