Butter-flavored popcorn

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g corn (popcorn)
  • 50 ml oil (Alba oil with butter flavor)
  • 1 handful of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 minute; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 11 minutes

perfect for movie night or party

Place a large pot (approx. 6 l) on the stove and heat the Alba oil until very hot. Add the popped corn to the pot, then quickly sprinkle a handful of salt over the corn kernels and quickly put the lid on the pot. Remove the pot from the heat and shake it every now and then to allow the corn kernels to fall back into the hot oil and pop. Otherwise, too many kernels might not pop. Once the popping sounds have almost died down, remove the pot from the heat and wait a few seconds. Remove the lid to allow the steam to escape. Now pour everything into a large bowl and serve. It’s important to use Alba oil, otherwise you won’t get the desired buttery flavor. I’ve tried it with other oils, but they didn’t produce the desired result.
