Butter Thaler

- 250 g Wheat flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Egg yolk
- 1 Protein
- 125 g Butter
- 60 g Sugar
- 50 g Granulated sugar
- Put the flour in a bowl.
- Add the egg and yolk to the bowl.
- Add the butter in flakes.
- Sprinkle the sugar on top.
- Now knead all the ingredients in the bowl to form a smooth dough.
- Wrap the dough in foil and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Lightly sprinkle the work surface with flour and roll out the dough about 0.5 cm.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees circulating air.
- Now cut out the desired shape and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Slightly whip the egg whites and brush the biscuits with it.
- Sprinkle with hail sugar.
- Put the biscuits in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes and then let them cool down well.
