quick to make, low in calories and variable

First, pour the buttermilk into a bowl, peel the banana, slice it, and add it to the buttermilk. Purée with a hand blender until the banana is well blended with the buttermilk. Add the instant gelatin and continue blending either with a hand blender (switching it off briefly every now and then to prevent it from overheating) or with a whisk. Sweeten to taste, e.g., with vanilla sugar, honey, or liquid sweetener, and season with cinnamon. Transfer the mixture to a lidded container and refrigerate overnight. This buttermilk jelly is very versatile and tastes delicious with strawberries instead of banana, or with a canned fruit cocktail. For those of you who like to make buttermilk: 500 ml of buttermilk and 1 banana make this recipe with approximately 4 servings of buttermilk. Add sugar, etc., and add the rest of the ingredients.
