Buttermilk Scones

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir in the butter, egg, and buttermilk one after the other. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a sheet about 2 centimeters thick. Cut out circles with a diameter of 6 to 7 centimeters (2.5 to 2.7 inches) and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Knead the leftover dough, roll it out again, and cut out circles as well. Bake the scones in the hot oven for about 20 minutes. Serve lukewarm.
