Buttermilk sponge cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine, soft
  • 3 eggs
  • 300 g sugar
  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 400 g flour
  • Fat for the mold
  • e.g. powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Beat the margarine, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Then add the buttermilk. Combine the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder and fold into the batter. Pour into a greased cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (convection oven: 150°C, gas mark 3-4) for about 60 minutes. Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
