Cabbage and noodle stir-fry

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg cabbage, e.g. pointed cabbage
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 100 g raw ham or cooked ham
  • 150 g pasta, thin (e.g. fork spaghetti)
  • 500 ml vegetable stock
  • possibly water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp parsley, frozen
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Clean the cabbage, remove the stems, and cut into thin strips. Peel and slice the onion. Dice the ham. Fry the onions and ham with the oil in a large pan for about 3 minutes, then add the cabbage and fry together for about 10 minutes. Then add the dry pasta and vegetable stock and cook everything together for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a little more water if necessary. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley and serve. Tip: If you prefer thicker pasta, you may need to pre-cook it, as otherwise the pasta will either be too hard or the cabbage too soft.
