Pasta Diavolo

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta, as desired
  • 250 g salami, spicy
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Then reserve the pasta water; you’ll need it for the sauce. Slice the onions, chili, and garlic cloves. Cut the salami into small pieces. Heat olive oil in a pan and briefly fry the onions and garlic. Add the salami and fry briefly. Add the chili and a little pasta water (just enough to create a thick sauce). Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the cherry tomatoes and pasta and let the sauce simmer briefly. Note: I like to add fresh basil and Parmesan, but I only add it on the plate, as not everyone in our house likes Parmesan.
