Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 6 large limes
- 125 g cane sugar
- 250 ml Pitu (Aguardente de Cana)
- 2 bottles of dry sparkling wine, preferably brut
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 10 minutes
Squeeze the limes and mix the juice with the cane sugar. Add the pitu, the lime peel (quartered, or even eighths are better), and squeeze/mash vigorously. Let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. Top up with well-chilled sparkling wine and serve ice-cold. A real hit in the summer, even the men will love to indulge.
