Ingredients

  • 0,5 Lime or lime
  • 2 tsp Heaped cane sugar
  • 4 cl White rum, preferably Havana Club
  • A lot of crushed ice

Instructions

  • I know the original recipe for caipi, of course, but after I was in Cuba the world looked very different there. With the best of intentions, Brazilian sugar cane schnapps Cachaca is not available there, they have so much rum that they have to sell it. They also only take half a lime, with a whole there is a lot of sugar in it, all of which are unnecessary calories.
  • I also wash off organic lemons with warm water and rub them heavily with paper towels. So half of a fruit is then divided again and covered with sugar. Then mash the fruit with a wooden pestle. I also don't take 6cl rum or cachaca, then I can mix and drink another one in the evening !!!! The glass is then filled with the crushed ice. It tastes softer to me with the rum, but it's a matter of taste, as everyone knows.
  • The drink is suitable for me. for the hot season, then you quickly empty the glass, I've also added a bit of bitter lemon, tastes just as great and lasts longer.
