Homemade nut cake

Stir all ingredients together. Grease 4 screw-top jars, each with 440 ml capacity, well with butter. Fill the jars about 2/3 full with batter and bake on the lowest rack at 160 degrees Celsius for about 40 minutes. Do the toothpick test! Then remove from the oven, trim the edges of the baked cake, and immediately seal with the screw lids. Let cool slowly. The cake will keep for up to 6 months, so you’ll always have a piece of cake in the house when you’re craving it or when unexpected visitors come.
