Cake in a jar

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g flour (type 405)
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g margarine
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some cocoa powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cake in a jar – the quantity is enough for 3 glasses of 230 ml each

Mix the first 8 ingredients into a cake batter (leave the cocoa powder for now). Pour a little batter into the jars. For 230 ml jars, one tablespoon of batter is sufficient. Add the cocoa powder to the remaining batter and stir in. Divide the dark batter evenly among the jars. Bake the cakes at 160°C (convection oven) for about 30 minutes (use a toothpick to check). If you seal the jars while they’re still warm, the cake should keep for up to three months. I haven’t tested this yet, though.
