Ingredients
- 3 Apples
- 180 g Liquid butter
- 200 g Flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 3 Eggs
- 100 g Brown sugar
- 50 g Chopped almonds
- 1 Vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp Sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp Powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp Calvados or apple juice
Instructions
- You need 4-5 tumbler glasses with 1/4 l content. Grease glasses thoroughly. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees circulating air.
- Beat eggs with sugar and calvados until frothy. Add flour (mixed with baking powder). Finally stir in the melted butter. Peel and quarter the apples, remove the core and cut into thin slices (crosswise). Mix with the chopped almonds and vanilla sugar.
- Now pour the apple mixture and batter into the jars in layers. Start with the apples. If you want to close the jars, divide them into 5 jars or take larger ones, because they should only be 3/4 full.
- Mix the sliced almonds with the powdered sugar and spread over the dough. Bake glasses in the oven for about 30 minutes. Make a chopstick test. If you want to close the jars, put on the lid with the rubber ring immediately after removing it and close it with the clamps or unscrew the lid. Then let it cool down. So you can store the cake for up to 4 weeks.
