Apple – Almond Cake with Calvados

- 750 g Apple peeled fresh
- 5 tbsp Calvados
- 25 g Sugar white
- 125 g Butter
- 125 g Sugar brown raw sugar
- 3 piece Eggs
- 70 g Peeled and ground almonds
- 175 g Flour
- 7 g Baking powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- 50 g Flaked almonds
- Apple juice can also be used instead of calvados
- 1. Peel the apples in quarters and halve the wedges again and cut across into pieces, drizzle with calvados or apple juice and sprinkle with sugar – mix everything well
- 2. Line the cake pan 30 cm long with baking paper or brush with butter and flour
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
- 3. Whip 125 grams of butter and 125 grams of raw sugar until it is light and airy
- 4. Beat the eggs one after the other
- 5. Add the peeled, ground almonds to the mixture
- 6. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together and also add to the mass and mix into the dough
- 7. Finally mix the apples with the jus into the batter
- 8. Pour the dough into the mold, smooth it out and spread the flaked almonds on top
- 9. Now bake the whole thing for 15 minutes at 200 degrees, then reduce the heat to 180 degrees, total baking time about 55-60 minutes
- 10. when the cake is ready, take it out of the oven and let it stand in the tin for 10 minutes, then let the cake cool down on a wire rack
