Turkish Apple and Almond Sheet Cake

Ingredients
 

  • 300 g Flour
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 400 g Ground almonds
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • Milk
  • 200 g Butter
  • 1 tsp Cinammon
  • 1 tsp Apples
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Separate eggs. Beat egg whites until stiff. Mix egg yolks with sugar and butter. Add flour and baking powder. Add some milk (the dough should not be too runny, but rather thick because it should flow easily from the spoon). Add cinnamon and almonds. Mix everything well. Finally, carefully fold in the stiffly beaten egg white. Line a baking sheet with bacon paper and distribute the dough evenly on it. Peel the apples and cut into slices and place on the dough and gently press in. Bake at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. After cooling, cut into square pieces of the same size and dust with powdered sugar. If you want, you can serve it with cream and vanilla ice cream. Have fun :)))
