Cake: Plum Feast

The perfect cake: plum feast recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For painting

  • 200 g Marzipan paste
  • 1 Protein
  • 40 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 Knife point Cinnamon powder
  • Chopped almonds
  • 1 Glass Plums – drained
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  1. Crumble the marzipan in a bowl. Mix the cinnamon and egg white with the icing sugar until smooth.
  1. Roll up puff pastry sheets, brush with the marzipan mixture and sprinkle chopped almonds (sprinkle on top in the desired amount … one person likes more of them – the older generation probably less because of the “THIRD” ones). With the pizza roller, roll off 6 quatrates and then divide them lengthways again so that 12 strips are created. Now place 2-3 pieces of plum on each of the strips and roll them up tightly. Then cut in the middle with a knife and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  1. Whisk the egg yolk and milk together and brush the puff pastry rolls with them. Sprinkle with chopped almonds again – as I said, as you like … and put the whole thing in the preheated oven at 200 ° C top / bottom heat or 180 ° C convection for about 15 minutes.
