very simple and quick
First, melt the cake glaze or chocolate coating in a water bath at a moderate temperature. Meanwhile, you can start making the cake pops. Crumble the cake (I used marble cake) into a mixing bowl. The smaller the size, the better. Then add the milk and mix everything thoroughly with a hand mixer, first on low speed, then on medium speed. The mixture should not be too moist. Now form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a walnut. I always finish all the balls before skewering them, so that the wooden skewers don’t get dirty from batter residue on my hands. Then briefly dip a wooden skewer into the cake glaze, about 0.5–1 cm deep, and then insert a cake pop ball. Repeat this process for all the cake pops. When they are all ready, dip the cake pops one by one into the cake glaze. Let the glaze drain off and decorate immediately as desired. To dry, I always place the cake pops in a piece of Styrofoam. Instead of milk, you can also use an equal amount of whiskey cream liqueur (Bailey’s) or eggnog.
