Calvados Apple Wedges in Cream Caramel

The perfect calvados apple wedges in cream caramel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Apples, sour
  • 5 tbsp Sugar
  • 8 tbsp Increase the amount of calvados to taste
  • 0,5 Lemon, juice from it
  • 100 ml Liquid cream – adjust the amount
  • 0,5 Vanilla pod scraped out
  1. Peel and core the apples and cut into wedges.
  1. Caramelize sugar in a pan, deglaze with calvados and lemon juice and stir well. Put in the apple wedges and sauté.
  1. Crack the vanilla pulp out of the pod and steam the pulp and pod with it.
  1. Stir in the cream. Simmer gently until the apple wedges are cooked firm to the bite.
