Ingredients
- 3 Apples, sour
- 5 tbsp Sugar
- 8 tbsp Increase the amount of calvados to taste
- 0,5 Lemon, juice from it
- 100 ml Liquid cream - adjust the amount
- 0,5 Vanilla pod scraped out
Instructions
- Peel and core the apples and cut into wedges.
- Caramelize sugar in a pan, deglaze with calvados and lemon juice and stir well. Put in the apple wedges and sauté.
- Crack the vanilla pulp out of the pod and steam the pulp and pod with it.
- Stir in the cream. Simmer gently until the apple wedges are cooked firm to the bite.
- Serve with whipped cream with the apple pie. The apple cake recipe is yet to come ............
