Vanilla Cream with Caramelized Apple Wedges

The perfect vanilla cream with caramelized apple wedges recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Sour apples
  • 6 tbsp Sugar
  • 300 gr Cream
  • 100 gr Quark
  • Pulp from a peeled vanilla pod
  1. Peel and core apples and cut into wedges. Caramelize in a coated pan with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  1. Mix the cream with the remaining sugar and the vanilla pulp. You shouldn’t whip the cream until stiff, just stir it until it’s nice and creamy. Fold in the quark.
  1. Divide the caramelized apple wedges into four dessert bowls and fill each with 2 tablespoons of cream. If you want, you can top it with some cinnamon or chopped almonds.
