Camembert cranberry cordon bleu

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 pork schnitzels
  • 2 slices of ham (elderberry ham)
  • 50 g Camembert(s), sliced
  • 1 egg(s)
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp cranberries

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, flatten the schnitzels, then lightly season with salt and pepper. Top one half of the schnitzel with the following: 1-2 thin slices of Camembert, then 1 teaspoon of cranberries, then a slice of ham, another few cranberries, and finally a slice of Camembert. Now fold the schnitzel closed and secure with skewers. Beat the egg with a fork and season the breadcrumbs with salt and pepper to taste. Dip the cordon bleu in the egg, then roll it in the breadcrumbs, and then fry/deep fry in a pan in the fat.
