Canadian white cabbage salad

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 small head of white cabbage
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • 3 carrots
  • 200 ml vinegar
  • 150 ml oil
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • some pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 30 minutes

Shred the cabbage, slice the onions, and strip the bell peppers. Grate the carrots and mix everything well. For the marinade, bring the vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, mustard, and a pinch of pepper to a boil, pour over the vegetables, and mix thoroughly. Let it marinate for at least a day.
