Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g walnuts
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

from the microwave

Mix the sugar, vanilla sugar, and water in a microwave-safe container. Add the walnuts and mix well. Microwave at 800 watts for 2 minutes. Stir. Stir again for 2 minutes at 800 watts. For the third and final time, microwave at 800 watts for 2 minutes. Spread onto a silicone mat and allow to cool. Caution: It will be quite hot from the microwave! Tips: At Christmas time, you can add a little cinnamon. This also works great with hazelnuts. You can remove the caramel from the container by simply placing it in clear water for a while.
