Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (396g)
  • 250 ml cream
  • 250 ml milk (whole milk)
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

Pour the condensed milk into a non-stick saucepan. Then heat over medium heat while stirring. Continue stirring until the condensed milk thickens and turns golden brown. This can take up to 15 minutes, then remove from the heat and set aside. Bring the cream, milk, and cinnamon stick to a boil in another saucepan. Reduce the heat to low and carefully add the caramel. Stir with a whisk until everything is well combined and the caramel has dissolved. Then remove from the heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and remove the cinnamon stick. Transfer to a freezer container and let cool, stirring occasionally. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Then churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions until smooth and serve.
