Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 20 g sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 200 g fennel
- 1 bunch of dill
- 1 tbsp butter
- 100 ml vegetable stock
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Cut the fennel lengthwise into thin slices. Add the sugar to a saucepan and heat. Only start stirring when the edges begin to brown. Then add the butter and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add the fennel and sauté briefly. Deglaze with the vegetable stock and cook in a covered pan for about 10 minutes. Season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper, and stir in the dill. Serve with boiled potatoes and a fresh salad.
