Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 large onions, peeled
- 20 g butter
- 30 g sugar
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Slice the peeled onion. Heat the butter in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent. Then remove from the pan and set aside. Add the sugar to the pan and let it caramelize until golden yellow. Deglaze with the balsamic vinegar. Return the braised onions and salt to the pan and let it simmer slightly. These caramelized onions go well with burgers, schnitzel, and other dishes.
