Carbonara rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 rolls (bake-up rolls)
  • 1 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • 100 g diced ham (e.g. ham from the hamyard)
  • 2.3 onions
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 50 ml cream
  • 100 g cheese, grated (Emmental)
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Maggi
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onion and finely dice. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the ham cubes and fry. Remove the pan from the heat and let cool. Whisk the egg yolk with cream, salt, pepper, paprika, and Maggi (I recommend a strong seasoning) and stir into the onions and bacon. Fold in the grated cheese and parsley. Halve the rolls and spread with the mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 12 minutes on a rack lined with baking paper using the fan setting.
