Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large carrot(s)
  • 1 apple, sweet, firm
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • 1 pinch(s) cardamom powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

a side salad to sweet main courses

Peel the carrot and apple and grate coarsely. Use about the same amount of grated carrot as the apple, or slightly more. Immediately add lemon juice to prevent the apple from tarting. Mix and season with sugar and a little cardamom. If the apple is sweet enough, you can omit the sugar. This makes a great side salad for pancakes, steamed dumplings, potato pancakes, and braised pork or turkey in dried fruit sauce.
