Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g carrot(s), finely grated
- 100 g whole wheat flour
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper, black
- Palm fat or clarified butter for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Mix the finely grated carrots with the other ingredients to form a dough. Form into small patties and fry in hot fat or lard. Drain on a plate lined with kitchen paper, keeping warm if necessary until all the carrot patties are cooked. Variation: Mix the carrots with finely sliced leek or grated cauliflower. Carrot patties also taste good cold and are also suitable for a cold buffet.
