Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 700 g potatoes
- 1 bunch of carrots
- 4 stalks of carrot greens
- e.g. vegetable broth
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
- oil

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
How my grandpa taught me (vegan)
Peel the vegetables and dice into 1 cm pieces. Briefly sauté the carrots in a little oil, as they take longer to cook than the potatoes. Then add the potatoes and cover both with vegetable stock. Cook the potatoes and carrots until soft. Meanwhile, finely chop the carrot tops and stir in when the vegetables are tender. Season everything with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and mash roughly with a potato masher.
