Casserole: Spanakopita
The perfect casserole: spanakopita recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 package Filo pastry
- 200 g Feta
- 100 g Cream cheese
- 800 g Frozen spinach chopped
- 3 Eggs
- 3 tbsp Liquid butter
- Salt, pepper, nutmeg, chilli
- 1 Chopped onion
- 2 toes Fresh garlic
- Defrost the spinach, finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté in a little butter. Add the spinach to the boil briefly and season well.
- Crumble the feta and add to the spinach then mix in the cream cheese and eggs.
- Brush a baking dish with butter, brush the filo pastry sheets individually with milk and place a sheet in the mold, then a layer of spinach then again dough until everything is used up. Finally, brush a sheet of dough with milk and butter and cut into it like then you want to have the pieces.
- Preheat the oven to 160 C ° and bake the casserole for about 60 minutes until the casserole is nice and light brown.
