Cauliflower Bomb

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 cauliflower
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 3 eggs (size M)
  • 50 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 75 g bacon, diced
  • 75 g cheese, grated
  • 200 g bacon, sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Clean the cauliflower and cut a cross in the stem. Cook the cabbage in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Remove from the pan. Dice the onion. Knead the ground beef with the onion, 2 teaspoons of salt, pepper, the remaining spices, mustard, egg, quark, bacon cubes, and cheese. Place the cauliflower in a baking dish and cover with the meat mixture. Press the mixture firmly around the edges with your hands. Cover the cauliflower bomb with bacon strips, tightly slicing them together. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven) for about 1 hour.
