Cauliflower in White Sauce

The perfect cauliflower in white sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the brew:

  • Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 kl. Shot Milk

For the sauce:

  • 30 g Branded butter
  • 30 g Flour
  • 250 ml From the cooking stock

  1. Yes, that’s how my grandma made it – and we still like it – it’s so easy to prepare. To do this, remove the leaves from the cauliflower and then cut into large florets.
  2. Bring all the ingredients for the brew to the boil in a saucepan (sugar and milk ensure a particularly mild taste and a nice white color). Let the vegetables cook in the stock for 5 minutes – no longer! – Then pour into a sieve and collect 250 ml of liquid.
