Chard with honey balsam

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg chard (leaf chard)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 50 g tomatoes, dried, pickled in oil
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • 4 tbsp vinegar (honey-balsamic vinegar)

Wash the chard, drain, and trim the stems. Roughly chop the leaves and finely dice the stems. Finely dice the onions and garlic, and finely slice the tomatoes. Heat the olive oil in a sufficiently large pot, sauté the onions and garlic, and sauté the chard until the leaves collapse. Add the tomato strips and sauté everything over low heat for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and season with the honey balsamic vinegar. TIP: If you don’t have any honey balsamic vinegar on hand, you can substitute 1 tablespoon of honey mixed with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to taste.
