Cheese and buttermilk bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 100 g parsnip(s), grated
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • 3 tbsp thyme
  • 100 g cheese
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Combine all ingredients except the flour. Slowly add the flour and knead the mixture into a smooth dough. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Once the loaf is formed, don’t wait too long before placing it in the oven; this will flatten and widen the dough. Score the surface about 0.5 cm deep. Then bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes. Tip: Enjoy while still warm with a little salted butter.
